Trail Conditions

Happy Spring, we’re still skiing,

Discussion:  About 4 inches of new snow a couple of days ago gave us new life on the trails, considerably attenuated by the warm day yesterday.  Our base is still pretty good, so we can extend things for just a bit.

Grooming Report:  All classic tracks are still generally in place from the last snow.  They are beginning to break down, especially after yesterday, and they are very glazed and fast.  Classic ski with caution.  The skating lanes were scarified early this morning, removing the deep ruts from warm temps skating yesterday.  North Advanced, Canyon Curves and Pincushion Mountain skate lanes are in good shape.  Icy but very skiable with just a few seeps.  Snowmen can be skied, but Upper Snowman bore the brunt of the melting yesterday with many seeps, some with running water.  Again, use caution on steep downhills and turns.

Enjoy what very well may be our last few days of skiing.
