CCHS Nordic This Week

Well, everyone skied great at Sections this week. I was once again impressed with the results. Congratulations to Noah for two great races and a State Meet Qualification. Congratulations should go out to Ellen as well for wowing the crowd with her sprint finish in the classic pursuit. That really got the people going. Nice work Ellen. Next week should be an another fun one with the JV Champs on Monday and the State Meet on Friday. We will not be traveling as a team to Giants Ridge for the State Meet or the Charlie Banks Relay, which means Monday’s race will be the last for the majority of you for the High School season. That doesn’t mean you should stop skiing though. There are many other races, including the Sibley Ski Tour and the Kortelopet, that people can compete in this year. I encourage everyone to come cheer Noah on and ski some of the other trails at Giants Ridge on Friday. Below is the plan for the week:

Monday- JV championship at Snowflake. Race start time is 5:00 pm and the vans will be at the back doors of the school at noon. We’ll try to do some waxing before the race since we won’t be waxing on Sunday. Everyone will be racing a 5 km freestyle.

Noah- Go for a classic ski at the PCNC. I will organize a mentor to pick you up.

Tuesday- Practice at Pincushion. Classic.

Wednesday- Practice. Classic.

Thursday- Noah and Cory will be gone. Practice plans TBA
